Ghislaine is a current Fulbright Scholar and PhD student in the Fuxjager lab. Before arriving at Wake Forest, she received her MSc from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, where she studied female mate choice in blue-backed manakins. Ghislaine is currently studying the how elaborate behavioral display evolves in manakins, with special attention to he way in which the musculoskeletal system is modified to support complex physical signaling. Her work revolves around the white-bearded manakin in the rainforests of northern Ecuador.
