Ray Mandel-Mueller

Ray is interested in animal communication, bioacoustics, and ecology. Specifically, they investigate how animals’ environments and interactions with one another shape the structure of calls and displays. For their undergraduate research, Ray focused on foot-flagging behavior in Bornean rock frogs and automating woodpecker drum analysis. Outside of the lab, Ray is a sound engineer, musician, and inventor.
