Yoshihiro is broadly interested in the evolution of mechanisms behind animal communication systems. Specifically, he wants to study the hormonal and neurobiological basis of agonistic displays in frogs, such as foot flagging behavior in Indian dancing frogs and rapid color change in Asian common toads.
